Every couple of years I get together with my 2 college roommates and we go on an adventure. We just returned from Maine. We took a convertible from Portland to Bar Harbor (Baa Ha Ba) stopping for a little antique shopping on the way. Once in Baa Ha Ba we went mountain biking in Acadia and ate, ate, and then ate and drank some more.
In many ways, I think friends are a lot like cookbooks. The new ones are exciting, but when one passes the test of time and has a permanent spot on your counter? It’s like comfort food.
The Enchanted Broccoli Forest is a dear, old friend. Recipe here for the lovely stuffed cantaloupe. This is what’s on the recovery menu for me this week.
Love the photos!! Welcome back and hope you had a fantastic trip.
Alexi- Thank you sooo very much. It was mega-fantabulous!
Having been a reader/stalker for a while, I would kill to go on a girls weekend with you, fun lady.

Lovely simple fruit salad. What awesome trips. ha ha h, Baa Ha Ba, I can hear it with the accent. So much lobster too!
Thanks Evelyne. It wasn’t easy to find a true Mainer (one that not only lives in Maine, but also was born in Maine). But once we found one we asked them over and over to say a few words (Beee-ah) for Beer was one of our faves.
Wow, you lead an incredible life (and I know you know it!). Very sneaky trying to put fruit, yogurt and good things in a dessert, but I love it. And that mac, cheese and lobster is just mouth watering.
Gary – As always, you are too kind! I just try to have fun as much as possible. Thanks for always stopping by!
