I’m embarrassed to admit this, but here it goes…. For the longest time I was one of *those* that scoffed at parents renting bounce houses for birthday parties. Hey, I made it through childhood without my backyard being taken over by an obnoxious inflatable monstrosity. Thankfully I’ve become a little less spinsterish and realized if the crumbsnatchers are playing for endless houses of uninterrupted glee, their parents can have a cocktail with me. Not a bad trade-off eh?
Do the little cherubs below look familiar? They were the adorable ballerinas last year. They’re 3 y.o now and officially BFFs. They graciously took a break from the bounce house to let me snap some pics.
Let’s chat about this pie for a moment. I saw it on one of my absolute favorite blogs, and had to give it a pirouette. I’m not sure what part I like more; the graham crust made with nutella, the caffeinated ganache or the brown sugar whipped cream? I think the best part is that it’s no-bake, creamy-cool-scrumptious, and will no doubt perk some bounce to your step. Now go Take a Mega Bite!

Kids look great, but the pie looks amazing!!!!!!
Thanks Amy!
I LOVE that quote!!! So true.
This cake looks incredible. I nearly died when I saw that Nutella-graham cracker crust. Bookmarking for the next cheat day, fo’ shizzle.
Miss Laura- Glad I brought a chuckle or two. Nutella make everything better.
OMG, I could die from the cuteness of those little girls! And that pie…! All I need is some Nutella and that baby is MINE ALL MINE!!!!

That pie looks awesome!!! The kids are pretty cute too:)
Catherine,
Thanks for stopping by. Good thing they didn’t have any pie, as the bouncie house may have exploded!
My goodness… Those girls are soooooo cute!
And as for the bouncy house…. My son is not even 1 yet but i am definitely getting it for his first birthday just so i can jump around in it and feel like a kid again …hahah
Cakewhiz- I’m right there with ya! I sooo wanted all the little ones to get out, and let the adults jump around.. (Unfortunately, it never happened).
Whipped cream, ganache and caffeine! Triple treat and so good on a hot summer day. And I don’t care what anyone else says, nutella is nutritious (it has hazelnuts in it!).
Amen Gary!!
Wow. What a great dessert! And the girls are adorable!
Thanks June!

What says summer more than cute kids, playful pups and pie?! Nothing. Nothing at all.
Duo Dishes – I couldn’t agree more. Hope you are having a wonderful summer. Head on down to San Diego sometime.
You make a very valid point—bounce house, entertained children, cocktail hour for adults!
I don’t know where to start with this concoction—the nutella, the brown sugar whipped cream, espresso!!!!!!
Hmmm. Wonder how this would be for breakfast as a kick-start to my day?
Debra- You crack me up. It’s the breakfast of champions.
You took some really amazing photos of these sweet kids!!

Those little girls are absolutely darling!! Great job adding in their photos I love it. The pie, delicious so lucky to enjoy a piece at work!! Thanks Jenn
Jenn- Thank you sooo much. And I soo appreciate your support on my food love’n journey.
The pie and the little girls are so nice!! Such a cute idea! You know if bounce houses if had been all the rage back in our day Leroy would have gotten us one!
Lori- You are sooo right. Not only would he have gotten you one, he would have gotten in their and shown us how it’s done. He was the original cool cat dad.
Jenny, this pie is awesome. Good thing Nutella comes in big jars. I will serve this up the next time the teenagers get together for games and horror movies, the caffeine should keep them going through the night.
Suzanne – You know you’ll officially be the coolest mom in town??
That pie looks heavenly! Perfect summertime treat!
Thanks so much Susan and thanks for stopping by!
