Too poor for couture? Champagne taste on a Prosecco budget? I know the feeling. But with a little thrifty shopping and this clever Panna Cotta? Did I hear hostess with the mostess?
Upcycled dress from my favorite local haunt; Make Good. Fab Foodie photos by Chad Thompson, of Culinary Creatives. I’ve been writing for Chad; check out my column, “Dive Deep for Deliciousness“. Kitschy pics of me by my groovy musician friend Marie Haddad.

Too cool! I actually had this once before at a party – they served it off of trays made from cereal boxes! So glad for a recipe to re-create.
Laura- Oh my goodness gracious! What a clever idea with the cereal boxes. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and thank you for stopping by!!!
I’ve had breakfast for dinner, but not for dessert before. Very interesting.
James- Thanks for stopping by. I never thought of it like that before, but you are correctooooooo. Happy New Year to ya.
Love it!!! And we love the corn flake crunch. I’m learning to be happy with proseco too!
Happy Holidays! Liv sends her best, she is tired from a late sleepover last night and watching an America’s Next Top Model Marathon with pup on her lap.
XOXO
Kim- Hope to see you and Liv soon in the new year!! Please tell Liv ‘hello’.
Oooh, that sounds so interesting! I’ve become a recent fan of panna cotta, but I’ve certainly never heard of a cornflake version. It looks so cool!! And congrats on the column!
Miss Koci- Soo great to hear from you darling. Thanks so much. Happy New Year!!
If I drank milk I’d be all over this one! Think it’d come out the same with soy/almond milk?? Prob not…
The photos are wonderful! You look great.
Welcome 2012!!! <3
Hey Christina,
It would absolutely turn out great with soy/almond milk. Happy New Year doll. Stay outta trouble. XOXO
Another amazing recipe. Thanks for making 2011 so much fun and so informative. Looking forward to your 2012 shenanigans!
Gary- Thank you soo very much! All your continued support and friendship sure keeps me motivated! Wishing you a happy, happy New Year!!
Gurrrl, I love this session, it’s loooong over due! I will say I started the belly fat cure three weeks ago and I’m luvin’ the fat melt away, so I’ll just enjoy the photos and imagine how tastiliscious it all would be in my mouth!!! Happy Holidays… Remember you are the light too! Peace
Thank you Mitzi! Don’t melt away darling. The menzzz out there need a little something to hold on to. xoxoxo
You are beyond genius! What is the best part of the crunchy, sugary cereal? The leftover milk of course! I was too excited to read the recipe before commenting so I assume from the recipe name you used that. Really; so ‘under all of our noses’ and I’ve not ever heard of or thought of using it. Then adding the crunch on top.
Jenny….you are such a bright shiny star. I love your blog, your spirit, your ‘eye’ (never forgetting we bonded over cute orange vintage coats). You bring such a verve to cyber space and I thank you for that! xo
Toni- All I can say is you keep me blogging! You keep my spirit moving forward. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Summer – Right back at ya sister. Much love, blessings and loads of fun in 2012!!
Ha – I think I’ll ALWAYS be too poor for couture! Even when I’m rolling in it – I just can’t see shelling out for designer gear. Well, maybe one little Chanel dress. I always did love that sappy but oh-so-loverly film “Mrs ‘Arris Goes to Paris”. But that was Dior wasn’t it. See? What do I know? As for your panna cotta, well let me just say that with two kids I have a LOT of leftover cereal milk. Awesome idea. Happy New Year babes – look forward to lookin’ atchya in 2012…
Miss Ruby- You are too funny! Love your sense of humor. I have not seen “Mrs. Arris Goes to Paris”, but I will now have to add it to the list and pronto. Thanks so much for your kind words. I look forward to reading more your recipes and shenanigans from YOU in 2012.

Thanks for reminding me I need to purchase this cookbook. I can’t wait to make this! The little gnome made me think of my nephew. He “made” me watch Gnomeo & Juliet and I was so happy I did as it is such a cute little movie. In fact I think I will make this for him next time I visit since he’d eat cereal for every meal if he was allowed lol:-)
