What’s your guilty pleasure? I’d sooo love to know. Diamonds? Roses? Chocolates? Not me. Though you probably already know that about me if you read my Valentine’s Day shenanigan.
I swoon for Mary Janes. Mary Janes should make you feel like a goddess. Like you’re being kissed by a thousand butterflies all over your body. Yes, Mary Janes in any color imaginable. Up until last year, I had one pair worth more than my car. That’s pretty bad. So don’t worry about bringing over diamonds, roses, or chocolates; a fabulous pair of Mary Janes will be just fine. Ohh.. And happy St. Patty’s day, now go get your green on. Recipe here.
Pic by my friend, the mad-crazy-fabulous, Colleen Caracas. More on her to come. Stay tuned..
P.S. And “NO”, the pic isn’t a little fuzzy. Maybe you ate one too many Mary Jane Bars?

Lord, do I have to pick just one. Well beyond my obvious love/fetish for wine, artisan cheese, and cured meat, I suppose poker is my biggest vice/guilty pleasure. When you KNOW the pigeon sitting across from you has a straight, there’s no greater rush than getting him to call your flush. Booyah!
James – Love your guilty pleasure(S)… Keep rock’n…
My guilty pleasures: hot kirspy kremes (original glazed) when they are fresh off the conveyer belt. Seriously I feel like I am eating a cloud from heaven…. and Snickers bars with tea. There is something about how the tea melts the snickers bar just slightly… ok, drooling now…
What were your super expensive mary janes? Louboutins? I remember in Sex in the City they’d say that those were like the holy grail.
*kisses* HH
I hear ya on the MJs–My favorite style of shoe ever! I think at the moment, I have 5 pairs in my rotation, and I’m always on the lookout for more. Anything plaid or houndstooth generally causes me to stop dead in my tracks too, especially when it involves purses or shoes.
Heavenly Housewife- I love your guilty pleasure! I agree, there is nothing quite like a warm krispy kreme, well unless it’s after a MaryJane bar and that’s one heck of a guilty pleasure. Regarding my Mary Janes- they are Prada. Not quite as pricey as Louboutins. It was about 4 years ago, my boyfriend and I had broke up, my old Jeep had been tagged and then had a salvaged title, and I decided to treat myself big time. I’m wearing them with the Mink in the Las Vegas shenanigan. Thanks a million for stopping by and Happy St. Patty’s Day to ya. XOXO…
Rachel darling- You GOOOO Girlll.. I love me some plaid and houndstooth too… It adds quite a bit to the imagination.. Wink Wink!!
Amen Sista’!!!!!!
So very clever! I love your Prada MJs! I splurged on my wedding shoes, but I regret it b/c when will I ever wear those Jimmy Choos again? I should have bought a more “sensible” shoe for my splurge. You are way way too hip for Better Homes & Gardens.
Amanda- Thanks so much for stopping by! You always make me smile, no “perma-grin” is more like it. XO
Terri- I didn’t think it was possible for me to love you any more than I already do, but after hearing that you splurged on Jimmy Choos makes me love you even more. How did I not know those were your wedding shoes? I think I need a photo of me in them pronto. Much love girl, much love to ya. XOXO
You know, some Bailey’s would go nicely with these and would really Irish it up
My guilty pleasure is infusing butter with Mary Jane!
Actually I think you’re missing something from the recipe … isn’t there supposed to be a full bag of Doritos, an 18″ Giovanni’s pizza and a sleeve of Thin Mints to munch on after having the bars????
Luv ya and keep up the great work!
Shelly- I recently was educated in the term ‘crossfade’. And mixing those 2 is an official, ‘crossfade’. Thanks a big heaping bunch for stopping by.
Jon- What a perfect last meal that would be! Just absolutely, positively the perfect last meal. Happy St. Patty’s Day to ya.
Fantastic! I love the pic and the recipe is great! I’ll pony up a new pair of fabulous shoes for the butta recipe…
Wait, did I eat too much sugar? …. Everything is just a blurrrrrrrrr to me.
Junie Junie Junie– Now you have my attention. Miu Miu, Mark Jacobs and Marni are some of my faves.
Victoria! Thanks a juicy bundle for stopping my and all your kind words. I’ve been in a bit of a funk today, due to being a bit ‘green with envy’ of not being at SXSW. You’ve brightened my day dear.. Happy St. Patty’s Day to ya.
Better Homes & Gardens doesn’t know what they’re missing. Happy St. Patty’s Day
Summer- thank you mama!!
Great job, Jenny!!!!! Can you make these the next time I visit? Love the picture!
Holly- I’m all over it like a cheap suit!!
Karaoke for sure! I get to let loose my inner diva! I’ll just have to make sure to stuff my mouth with your goodies AFTER I sing!
Anna- All I have to see is FAB-U-LOUS mama!! We need to get together SOON!
You are hilarious…Love the pics!
Jax- muuuuah baby!
That was super cute!!!! I think Better Home and Garden will still have you!
I am jonesing for one of those Mary Jane bars right now! Gimme, gimme, gimme! What home or garden wouldn’t be better without these fantastic bars?? : )
Kika & Amy – Big smooches! Thanks for all your support. XOXO
LOL, I’ve got the munchies from just reading the recipe! My guilty pleasure is working part time right now, there is nothing better than sleeping in!
You got hit the nail on the head with htis one. In fact I do not remember the last time I baked anything with out Green Butter. We will have to swap infusing tips some evening!
Hippy Tiffy- That is all shades of wonderful!!

oh you wonderful creative girl…..you just keeping getting better and better.
can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
Michele- What would I do without you? Much love, much love to ya. XOXO
I’m the same way! My husband always says, “ANOTHER pair of Mary Janes!!” Though, I guess I should give him credit for knowing what Mary Janes are, given that he’s a guy, right? LOL
Carolyn- yes!! Give him credit. Men love to think that we think they’re incredibly clever and hip! Right??
Expensive purses, Expensive body lotion, and trashy celebrity mags….. I know…don’t judge!
That is one great recipe! And a pretty cool photo too
Nicole- just 2 words for ya- LOVE IT!!!!
Magic of Spice- Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you darling..
Love the foto. Sorry about BH&G, should you try Southern Living and Martha f…… Steward?(-:
Jenny I am sorry for misspelling Stewart(-: but she is FB anyway
HaHa Oleg! Love your comment. I have a number of friends who have made it quite clear, they would never speak to me again if I ever wrote for any of those.
Love the shoes. Dorothy has nothing on you!
Thank you Joy!! XO
Such an awesome recipe! Love Mary Janes, they’re classic! My guilty pleasure is clothes! I can never have enough new clothes! xoxoxoo
Shin- I love the way you think!! You’re an absolute diva mama! Just an absolute fabulous diva!!
I love Mary Janes! But I have to say, my guilty pleasure is flip flops. They’re so comfy and summery. I have…more than my husband could ever imagine before we got married and than I should probably admit!
Ohhh!! Nothing like some cute flip flops girlie! I agree.
I love Mary jane’s too – I spotted some gorgeous two tone black and white ones last week – they seem to be making a comeback!
My ultimate weakness though? Really, really good quality milk chocolate and a good boo!
Oh Julia- a good chocolate cake and a book! I’m not a fan of chocolate candies, but I’ll never turn down a great cake or brownie. Thanks for stopping by doll. Much appreciated!
Love the picture!! Too cute!
Thanks Christina!! I appreciate you stopping by!
Ohhhh honey girl – that’s my favorite photo yet……. Mary Jane isn’t that Mara hootch too?
Geralyn- Thanks Thanks and more Thanks darling. You got it on the MJ! Big Xs and Big Os to ya.

I love Mary Janes also, red ones omg, when I had my red pair I was told they were called “F%$* Me Shoes”.
The pic is great, cant wait to try the Mary Jane bars. Keep up the fun lady I love it!!
Jenn
Oh Jen! I’ve heard that term before too! And I always roar in laughter. Thanks a million for stopping by. Muuuah!
Oooh, you definitely hit on one of my guilty pleasures. Love the Mary Janes… and the shoes too! I snagged a pair of red MJs for 19 dollars once — saw them on the table in my size and took them to the register without even trying them on! Still have ‘em. Now infused butter, that’s what I need to go with them…
Oh, almost forgot, they were Anne Klein!
You go Trish! Too bad we don’t live closer darling. I think we would get ourselves into some trouble together! Thanks a million for stopping by.
what a ‘pleasurable post!
love it!
well, I guess as much as you love your Mary Janes I love my biker boots; I wear them almost all year round
ps: thank yo for visiting my blog the other day
Ohhh Asia! I love biker boots too! And they’re soo beyond hot this year. Thanks for stopping by fabulous girl.
Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate- what else would be my guilty pleasure! Jenny, you have such a different and a wonderful blog- In case you haven’t realised it, let me tell you, I am a HUGE fan
Suchitra- Thanks you for sharing your, ‘guilty pleasure’! And I soooo appreciate your kind words. You truly brightened my day. XOXO
So I gave up sugar for Lent…..however I might cheat with that recipe : )
Colleen- thanks for stopping by.. I think baby Jesus would be OK with that plan..
Happy Belated St. Patrick’s Day! I hope you had lotsa fun and partied it up! Shoes definitely make for an awesome guilty pleasure, especially Mary Janes. I’m a peep-toe gal myself. Safari-esque tan, schoolgirl-style black, I love ‘em all. There’s one pair of purple patent leather ones sitting in my closet at the moment that I can barely walk in, but they’re still my faves.
Koci- Thanks for stopping by! I love that you have a purple patent leather pair awaiting in your closet! BUST THOSE OUT Mama!!!
I have never tried these bars before! (With the infusion or otherwise!) These sound worth the try because I am curious just how good the other ingredients make this, and of course I mean that in a GOOD way I know you wouldn’t steer us wrong. I’m actually excited to give this a go! I thought no one else would understand my appreciation for Mary Jane’s…my guilty pleasure is peanut butter. Straight from the jar and yes I “double dip”!
I hope you are having a good day!
Dionne- You’re fabulous! Mary Janes and Peanut Butter? Now that’s what I’m talking about!! No need to leave the kitchen. Kind of reminds me of Mickey Rourke in 9 1/2 weeks. WoW!!
My guilty pleasures? Louboutins, of course… I have more than I ever need to wear as a stay-at-home Diva! The others are chocolate and yeah, YOU baay-beh! LOL.
Ohhh Maya! You must debut at least one pair of your Louboutins for me in Singapore!! Smashing darling, absolutely smashing!!
Guilty pleasures – 3.5% Turkish yogurt with ginger jam and flaked almonds. Rather sedate though compared to the shoe goddesses!!!!!!!
Mr. Butterfly- that sounds divine! But I have a feeling you have some other guilty pleasures up your sleeve and you JUST AIN”T SPILL’N!! Thanks a million for stopping by.
My guilty pleasure has to be cake …more specifically chocolate cake! Mmmmmmmmmmmm!
Oh and that pic is so unique… I like it!
Cakewhiz- I’m feeling you on the chocolate cake!! Thanks so much for your kind words on the pic. I’ll sure let my photographer friend know. And big thanks for stopping by! XOXO, Jenny
What an awesome photo. Right now my guilty pleasure is any kind of Easter candy. I’m convinced that of all the holidays this one is the best for the candy aisle.
Miss Sara- Thanks a sugary-sweet heap for stopping by and your sweet words! I agree with you on the candy aisles.. Craziness I say, absolutely craziness with the candy. XOXO
my guilty pleasure…hmm. chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! and perhaps some cheese too.
Thanks for stopping by Hannah! Muuuah. And I hear ya on the cheese. My weakness!!
Hee! Hee! LOVE the shoes, of course!
Thank you Ruth! Wish you lived closer, we would be getting into some dangerous shenanigans together.
